What’s happening now?
This project has recently completed the 30% design and we are compiling review comments so we can move on to 60% design soon. An updated map and rendering will be included in this website in June.
Project Background and Description:
There are significant gaps in the City’s bikeway network that can discourage Portlanders from riding bikes to work, school, shopping, etc. The Seventies Greenway project will address deficiencies in this corridor. The project will address these deficiencies by filling in major gaps between safe and comfortable north-south pedestrian and bicycle routes in the City. Specifically, the route will provide 11 enhanced crossings treatments such as curb extensions, island, RRFBs, cycle tracks, multiuse paths, etc. for pedestrian and bicyclists at busy streets and nearby schools.
Construction Date: Spring 2021
Current Project Phase: Design
Total Project Budget: This project’s total budget is $4.5 million funded by both Federal funds and System Development Charges.
