What is being described when the terms "trips" and "rides" are used? Does this mean the person riding the bus, the route the bus is taking, or just what?

Hi Paula,
Thanks for your clarifying questions. I spoke with TriMet, and for the purposes of TriMet, a ride connotes a transit boarding. So, if you boarded a bus in the morning and then grabbed a bus to get home at the end of the day, that is counted a two rides.
