Are you interested in learning more about promoting walking and/or biking at your school? Then come to this interactive training led by our Safer Routes to School Organizers. You leave with a good understanding of our easy-to-implement programs, new connections with people in your community interested in promoting safe walking and biking, and a guidebook with step-by-step instructions and templates to customize for your school. We will also make action plans to help get you started. More information about the programs you'll learn how to implement is listed below.

Stop + Walk: The Stop + Walk campaign aims to decrease traffic congestion around schools by asking parents who drive to pick-up or drop-off students to park a couple of blocks away from school and let their students walk the rest of the way.

Walking School Bus: A walking school bus is a group of students who walk to school accompanied by an adult. It can be informal as two families taking turns walking their children to school or as structured as multiple routes with pick-up schedules.

Bike Trains: A bike train is a group of students who bike to school accompanied by an adult. There is specific route chosen to ensure student safety.

International Walk + Bike to School Day: Join schools from around the globe in this opportunity to celebrate the many benefits of an active commute to school.
