Wednesday morning, Portland City Council proclaimed Thursday, October 8, 2009, 'Day of Culture' in Portland.

Nick is proud to sit on the Board of the Oregon Cultural Trust, which is sponsoring a weeklong celebration of arts and culture events around Oregon to mark the official anniversary of Oregon's unique cultural tax credit and to join the nationwide celebration of National Arts & Humanities Month.

The Trust has created an online catalog of hundreds of public and private events taking place statewide in early October.

Since 2002, the Trust as granted more than $8 million to arts, heritage and humanities nonprofits in communities around Oregon.
