Since 1992, JOIN has helped homeless people in the Portland area transition from the street to permanent housing. Last year, JOIN served over 1,800 people in its Community Service Center and housed close to 500 people through street outreach efforts and its permanent housing placement program.

Friday, April 16, Nick was honored to speak at an event celebrating the opening of JOIN's new space at 1435 NE 81st. The site brings together a renovated community center to better serve clients, new space for JOIN staff, and shared community space for Street Roots, the Benefit Advocacy Coalition, and other partners. 

These days, events like this are more important than ever - to highlight the unprecedented need in our community, and to celebrate our progress in helping our most vulnerable.
