Audubon's 14th Annual Native Plant Sale
May 14, 2010
This weekend, the Audubon Society of Portland will hold its 14th Annual Native Plant Sale. Visit Audubon House at 5151 NW Cornell Road between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm Saturday or Sunday to check out more than 100 species of native trees, shrubs, perennials, bulbs, grasses, and vines.
Native plants are the cornerstone of our sustainable landscape - they've adapted to thrive in our climate and soil, are easier to care for, and support natural function in landscaped areas.
You don't need to be an expert for this sale! A team of volunteers will be prepared to answer any questions you may have. New this year, those volunteers will be joined by staff from Audubon's Backyard Habitat Certification Program. They can teach you all about naturescaping, rain gardens, invasive plant removal, and give you other tips and tricks to help you create a wildlife sanctuary in your own backyard!
