Earlier this Summer, Nick joined City staff, community members, and others for the rededication of Unthank Park.

This week, Portland Parks & Recreation is very proud to present two free concerts at Dr. DeNorval Unthank Park (map.)

First up, on Wednesday, Emmanuel Temple Church's adult, children's, youth, and No-Kidding Choirs join Janice Hopkins at 6:00 pm for an incredible gospel, funk, and soul performance.

Then, on Thursday at 6:30, Janice Scroggins joins Linda Hornbuckle and the Divas of Soul. Linda and her band gave an incredible performance on the opening night of this year's Washington Park Summer Festival. Janice Scroggins, a Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame pianist, brings a dynamic sense of drama to her jazz, blues, and gospel performances.

There's also free dinner for anyone under 18! These free shows are sure to be popular, so arrive early. We'll see you there!
