Congratulations to the Lincoln High School Constitution Team for winning first place at the National Finals of the 25th annual We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution competition in Washington, D.C.  The annual competition included three days of simulated congressional hearings on the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.  Lincoln High School rose to the top among fifty-six of the nation's best schools.

City Council will honor the Lincoln High School Constitution Team at 9:30 am on May 9 during City Council session.  Nick will be pleased to read a proclamation recognizing their amazing accomplishment.

Earlier this year, Nick was honored to be a judge for the regional competition at Lake Oswego High School.

Founded in 1987, "We the People" has helped high school students across the country learn about the foundation of American democracy. The program culminates with a simulated congressional hearing, in which participants test their knowledge before a panel of civic leaders, attorneys, and teachers.
