The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), in partnership with the Veterans Administration (VA), has awarded Home Forward 60 special vouchers to help veterans who are experiencing homelessness in our community.

There are over 200 homeless veterans in the Portland area. A VASH Voucher offers a path to a safe, stable home, supportive services, and a better life. Nick worked with the VA, Home Forward, and local housing advocates to streamline the VASH Voucher program, which has helped make the vouchers more accessible for those who need it most.

Our renewed commitment is working - in March, HUD announced that the number of homeless veterans has declined by nearly 12% nation-wide.
