Community Warehouse has opened a Westside warehouse to serve Washington and Clackamas Counties' low income residents.
Founded in 2002, the Warehouse depends on in-kind donations from individuals and businesses for inventory, so that they can help low-income people improve the quality of their lives and become self-sufficient by providing them with basic household furnishings.
Thanks to donations from the community, in 2011, the Warehouse partnered with over 115 social service and non-profit agencies to serve:
- 5,164 individuals & families
- Including 2,309 children
- Filled 2,019 furniture requests
- Averaging a "thrift store" value of $683 per family
For now, the Westside location is open for donations only - please consider donating your gently used furniture or household goods, and help Community Warehouse start serving more families!
