Don’t forget – Joe and Harry Gantz’s film, American Winter, premieres this Sunday at the Portland Art Museum’s Whitsell Auditorium.

Online ticket sales have closed, but there will be tickets for sale at the door beginning at 2:30pm on Sunday.

Working with 211info, the filmmakers tell the stories of eight families struggling in the aftermath of the worst economic crisis in generations. Filmed over the course of one winter, American Winter captures a perfect storm of declining resources and a rising tide of need. This powerful film presents an intimate and evocative snapshot of the challenges facing our country.
