Let’s Celebrate Oaks Bottom!
March 8, 2013
Join Portland Parks & Recreation this Saturday to celebrate the new and improved Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge Bluff Trail!
Construction for the wildlife sanctuary trail was completed in December. The final piece of the project, the native re-vegetation planting, was finished at the beginning of this year. After all the great work to revitalize the trail, it is ready to be enjoyed.
The revitalized trail includes 500 feet of slip resistant boardwalk, rock walls at the north and south trail entrances, wildlife and bird observation deck, and more.
Join us for refreshments, kids’ activities, bird watching, and a ribbon cutting ceremony. There will also be guided nature walks and a photo display of the project.
For more information about the trail, please call (503) 823-5300 or visit the PP&R website.
We’ll see you there!
