Congratulations to our 1,000 Gardens team for a wonderful feature in the Spring 2013 issue of Edible Portland.

The local magazine showcased the initiative in a feature story.

In October, we celebrated reaching our Climate Action Plan goal to develop 1,000 new garden plots in the community. Just last Saturday, we officially opened the 1,000^th plot at Helensview Community Garden.

We would not have reached our goal without the hard work and dedication of volunteers and community members, our over 30 partners, and our gardens staff like Emily York and Laura Niemi.

Thanks to everyone who helped bring gardens to our neighborhoods. You all are community champions!
