Whatever happened to the tiny tree in the teeny park?
March 27, 2013
If this question has been plaguing you, have no fear: the tree has found a new home.
Portland Parks & Recreation Stewardship Coordinator Susan Hawes, along with Friends of Mt. Tabor volunteer Darvel Lloyd, re-planted the once-missing tree this morning at Mt.TaborPark.
The small tree made big news when it went missing from Mill Ends Park - the smallest park in the world - earlier this month. A few days after its disappearance, the tree was laid back at the park, roots and all. But PP&R had already replaced the tree, so the sapling needed a new home.
The exact location of the tree’s home will remain a secret - to ensure the sapling stays healthy and safe.
Regardless of the reason the tree was taken, we’re happy it has found a new home.
