(PORTLAND, Ore.) – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that the bridge over the Columbia Slough connecting N. Lombard Street and N. Marine Drive will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday June 22 through about 6 p.m. Sunday June 23.

The maintenance work means that the north route around Smith and Bybee lakes will be closed at the bridge, and a detour around the lakes will route traffic south around the lakes via N. Columbia Blvd. and N. Portland Blvd. Kelly Point Park will be accessible from N. Marine Drive but not from N. Lombard Street.

The public is advised to travel cautiously and observe all detour signs.

The bridge closure is necessary to add an epoxy overlay to preserve the life of the bridge.
