This morning, City Council heard a presentation from two local architects and preservationists, Brian Libby and Stuart Emmons, regarding Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

They shared a great video, created by the Friends of Memorial Coliseum, which showcases a number of vintage photographs of the historic building.

Veterans Memorial Coliseum was completed in 1960, and has been host to a number of important Portland milestones – including our Portland Rose Festival coronations and Grand Floral Parades, the Portland Trail Blazers championship win in 1977, and shows by The Beatles and Elvis!
