Saturday Roundup
July 13, 2016
Nick had a great time at community events this past Saturday.
He started the day at the 2016 Annual Mississippi Avenue Street Fair, where he was honored to present the “Mayor of Mississippi Avenue” award to Justin Pabalate, Executive Co-Chair of the Portland Q Center. Founded in 2005, Portland’s Q Center provides a safe space and support for our LGBTQ community, celebrates diversity, and advocates for equality and love every day!
Later in the afternoon, Nick attended a garden party at the Hardiman-Beadell residence to celebrate Jeana Frazzini, longtime Executive Director of Basic Rights Oregon (BRO). Nick was honored to toast Jeana’s leadership and to mark the tremendous progress we have made during her tenure at BRO.
Finally, he attended the opening night of Disjecta’s Portland 2016 Biennial. The Biennial showcases 34 artists at 25 partner venues in 13 different arts communities across the state.
Stay tuned this summer for more from Nick!
