RACC awards over $700,000 in project grants for 2017
December 21,2016
The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) has announced more than $700,000 in project grants to support 52 local arts organizations and 92 individual artists in the 2017 calendar year. More than half of these grants will support first-time recipients.
A panel of RACC board members and community volunteers reviewed and selected projects that featured new art forms or plans to improve community participation and access to the arts in Portland.
Nick is very proud to serve as Council liaison to RACC. Arts are the soul of our city, and RACC’s work to increase access to diverse and exciting art across the community is invaluable.
The grants are funded by the City of Portland’s Arts Education & Access Fund, along with support from Multnomah County, Washington County, and Metro.
Check out RACC’s website for more information and to see the full list of awardees. Also, check out RACC’s 2016 Year in Review highlighting the great work done this year.
