Today, Nick and the Fish Team attended the annual Parks Employee Picnic at Gateway Discovery Park.

Earlier this month, Nick stepped back into the role of Commissioner-in-Charge of Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R).

PP&R has 627 full-time employees and more than 2,900 part-time employees. They manage 11,712 acres of parks and natural areas. And they provide comprehensive recreational opportunities including community and art centers, community gardens, swimming pools, and more.

Nick was honored to visit with dozens of Parks employees and to thank the PP&R team for their dedication and commitment to Portland’s world-class park system.
