The following webinar sessions will provide strategies for Managers and Supervisors to create an inclusive culture, reduce stigma, and focused approaches for meeting the mental health needs of their employees:

Focus on Mental Health Bolsters Workplace Wellness:

Many employers are taking a more holistic approach to employee wellbeing. A key component is recognizing the diverse needs within your population. However, many times mental health is left out of the equation. Although 1 in 5 adults in the United States are coping with a mental health issue, adapting your company culture to meet this broad spectrum of needs presents a significant challenge.  This session will provide strategies for Managers to create an inclusive culture, reduce stigma, and focused approaches for meeting the mental health needs of your employees.

Emotional First Aid:

It is estimated that 1 in 5 workers suffer from mental health issues at some point in their career. This seminar will discuss the prevalence of mental illness and why it might be important to intervene with a co-worker or employee. We will talk about how to recognize emotional distress or a potential mental health crisis, and review appropriate intervention techniques and strategies for non-mental health professionals to better help a co-worker or employee in distress.

Your Role in Managing Mental Health Crisis in the Workplace:

Managers are equipped to respond to a number of employee issues, but may feel out of their element when it comes to more serious and uncommon mental health concerns. Experience tells us that even infrequent concerns such as suicidal thoughts, delusions, or mania do occur in the workplace and can greatly affect the working environment. This primer will present information to the HR professional on how to recognize and effectively respond to these concerns in a work environment.
