NW Flanders Bikeway Project
This project will improve conditions for bicycling and walking by upgrading crossings of busy streets and connecting new and existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. NW Flanders will connect Waterfront Park to NW neighborhoods and provide direct access to a new bridge over I-405. Specific operational elements have not been determined yet. Please look at the project map and graphics for proposed ideas. The project is funded primarily by Transportation System Development Charges.

Project goals
- Create a low-stress bikeway that connects Tom McCall Waterfront Park to NW 24th Ave
- Attract more people living, working and visiting NW Portland to bicycle more often.
- Provide people of all ages and abilities a safe, comfortable place to bike in the Central City.
- Provide people walking and rolling safer crossings at busy streets.
