Budget to Meet Mission The Portland Water Bureau works to develop & recommend to the Portland City Council & our customers a budget that allows it to continue to meet its mission of providing clean, safe, & reliable drinking water to our customers.
The Portland Water Bureau develops our requested budget annually based on guidance from City Council and specific instructions from the City Budget Office.
The Water Bureau submits our budget early each calendar year followed by Council work sessions and public forums before the Mayor releases a proposed budget, typically in April. City Council adopts the final City budget in June.
