Project Overview

During fall of 2019, we:

• replaced 960 feet of an aging water main (pipe)

• installed two new fire hydrants

• replaced one existing fire hydrant

• renewed 16 water service connections from the new pipe to nearby property lines, and

• paved the street

• provided temporary patches in curbs and sidewalk ramps in need of further repair.

What's Happening Now

This project is paused while the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) reviews our design for curb replacements and sidewalk ramps.

Future Work

Crews will return in early 2020 to replace temporary curb and sidewalk patches and install sidewalk ramps.

• We will replace temporary curbs and install ADA-accessible sidewalk ramps on the SE and SW corners of the intersection at 143rd and Sacramento, and repair a curb on the NE side of the intersection.
• We are unable to pour concrete on rainy days or days when the weather is below 40 degrees.

We will send out a notice when this work is scheduled.

Work Hours: Crews generally work Monday-Friday and occasionally Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The crew will work to limit traffic impacts in the intersection of 143rd and Sacramento on school days.
